Violet Box May 2014 Review

Hi again you beautiful women,

Two posts in one day with number 3 on the way I must be going crazy haha. I have only just this morning received my Violet Box for May and I am so excited to show you all so Red Paw Paw box will have to wait.

As always Violet Box can do no wrong. They are ahead of trends and so in tune with what their customers want. They have obviously seen the positive feedback from last month with the Teeez nail polish and we are luck enough to receive another amazing Teeze product.

So what did I get????

1. LUSH Popcorn Lip Scrub RRP $9.95 Full Size 25g

OMG I think I am in love haha. It smells so good I might eat it. Caramel popcorn lip scrub who would have thought it could be so good. I love LUSH and love that it's included this month. The ingredients are all natural and I am so excited to try this tomorrow.

2. StyleSign Sleek Perfection RRP $24.95 for 100ml Sample Size 20ml

I haven't ever tried anything from StyleSign so it is nice to try something new. I sprayed a little on my hair and it is quite nice. I will be interested in trying it properly soon. It is quite a small sample as the bottle is only just half filled so I'm not sure how long it will last and I'd like to see if it makes my hair shiny as I don't like that look.

3. Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil RRP $22.00 Full Size 1.4g

I don't currently have a highlight stick.  When my last one run out I never bothered with a new one so I will get lots of use out of this. Its a great colour for my skin and could even be used as a concealer as it is quite a thick consistency. I am very impressed with seeing this new brand included and look forward to trying it with my makeup tomorrow.

4. Eve's Ready to Wear Lipstick by Teeez in Tempting Pink RRP $32.00 Full Size 3.5g

As you all know I love love love teeez products. A full size deluxe product on top of everything else this month is mind blowing. I really like the colour it is a dusty pink shade which is highly pigmented. Teeez products are one of my favorites. This one in particular will make for a great everyday lippie. I have swatched it below.

5. Timeless Truth Miracle Rejuvenation Mask (Lifting Mask) RRP $7.00 Full Size 30ml

My second mask this week. After looking closer at the packaging this one is not just for your face but also your neck and chin and is held on with ear holes in the mask. This one definitely wont look good on but hopefully the quality of the mask is worth it. I will have to make sure my partner isn't around when I have it on or I might scare him. It says on the packet that it is targeted to firm the skin so its nice to also take care of the skin on our neck even at my age.

6. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse RRP 24.95 for 50ml Sample Size 4ml

Another foil packet. This one is a multipurpose oil for hair, face and body. 4ml won't go very far so it will be a strictly one time use packet.

7. Nuxe Creme Marveillance RRP $64.95 for 50ml Sample Size 2ml

Yet another foil packet. This one is 2ml of cream and I can't see myself seeing any benefit from using it so I probably won't bother.

Overall value $80.50. Wow! This is the most value to date and is nearly 4x the price of the box. I love every single item and will be repurchasing a few in the future.

I am so excited for June. The sneak peak is GHD Straight and Tame Cream. What else do you think we might receive? More Teeez maybe?

Bellabox May 2014 Review

Hey Ladies,

Its been a while... but I'm back and better than ever. I have 3 boxes to review but to begin with I will be showing you my May Bellabox.

So I received Bellabox earlier this week and I have had a chance to use a few items already and have some positives and negatives. This months box was sponsored by Jetstar.

So.. what did I get???

1. Appelles Apothecary Body Bar - Eucalyptus,  Niaouli, Rosemary and Lemon Myrtle - RRP $5.95 Full Size 100g

The smell is a winner for sure. Even though I am not a fan of Eucalyptus this soap is so lemony that I had to try it. As far as a bar of soap goes it is nice but I was looking forward to being able to smell it on my skin all day. Unfortunately this was not the case. Even if it only smells great in the shower I am still loving the inclusion and it is something we all need :-)

2. Chapstick Lip Conditioner RRP $3.99 Full Size 4.2g

I am not loving the inclusion of the chapstick. I have so many Chapstick's that don't get used and get given to family or friends.  I am not impressed because I have seen what other people received in the Chapstick's place which was a Face of Australia Make up item which I would have much prefered ( ACTUAL MAKEUP) .
In regards to the chapstick it is SPF 15, available almost anywhere and smells like vanilla.

3. Timeless Truth Face Mask - Calming and Revitalization RRP $8.00 Full Size 30ml

I haven't had the opportunity to try a cloth mask before and was excited to see I have received not one but 2 this week.  This particular mask states that it Revitalizes the skins natural radiance and helps to regenerate tissue cells. It also claims to relax facial tension so I am super excited to try it. I'm not sure when I will have 20 minutes to try and relax but I should treat myself. I think this is a great travel must have so I may take one to Cambodia with me to relax after the flight.

4. Wen by Chaz Dean Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner RRP $34.99 for 480ml Sample Size 60ml

I have heard so many people raving about this product and when my mum seen it I nearly lost it. From what it says on the back you don't use shampoo but instead you repeat the process of application twice. I am very glad to see that even though it is a foil packet it is a decent size so I should get at least 2 uses out of it. I haven't opened it yet to smell it but I love mint in hair products :-)

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel in Clear RRP $39.00 for 7.93g Sample Size 2.5ml

The cult product that most people were hoping for is a bit of a let down to be honest. It feels like I have hair sprayed my eyebrows.  So many youtubers love it and I could understand how it would help if you have crazy eyebrows but I don't.  It is an expensive item that I wont purchase because this 2.5ml will probably last me forever.

6. BONUS Invisible Zinc Tinted Daywear SPF30+ - Light RRP $32.00 for 50g Sample Size 5g

Tiny foil packets normally don't get used and this one is no exception. So many friends have warned me about this product and how it made them break out in a horrible rash. So me and my sensitive skin will not be trying it. It is nice to see they sent me light as opposed to medium/dark this time.

So over all it is a better box than it has been... I would definitely have liked a colour make up product as it promises but it not that bad.

Over all value is $37.80 which is more than double the value but even taking this into consideration I'm still not sure how I feel about this box. I think its just not very usable and by that I mean that I wont use these items every day and I would love something where I just had to have more but it's just not there this month.

Lip Factory April 2014

Hey Girls,

So it is now the month of May and I have just received my April Lip Factory box. I am completely understanding of the delay as it is being shipped internationally and we had 3 public holidays at the end of April.

So the theme for April 14 is "Welcome Spring". In Australia it is Winter but I will enjoy the items just as much.

Before I let you know what I got I must mention I was supposed to receive two replacements from last month.  I received a personalized email with my tracking number stating that the Jessie's Girl Vitamin E Treatment would be in my box this month and the Mirenesse Lip Bomb was still out of stock at this stage. I received neither and have emailed tonight to try and sort this out.

So... What did I get??

1. Ofra Lipstick in shade Juicy (#107) RRP $13 USD Full Size
First of all, I love this colour!!! It is a gorgeous pink/peach colour it looks much brighter in the photos. Is is low sheen and very smooth. After swatching it on my hand it was very difficult to remove so I think it was have a longwear/stain effect, which I love. I looked up the Ofra website to find out my colours name and they have a huge selection with some really lovely colours. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

2. Color Club Nail Polish in shade Earthy Angel RRP $8USD Full Size 15ml
This normally wouldn't be my first colour choice as I wear bright nail polish and recently have purchased some new pastel Gel Polishes for my UV set. But after putting it on I can see myself wearing it more than I thought. It is a very natural earthy brown colour and this would be very versatile. I used it on my nail to show you and it is super fast drying and doesn't show any streaks from application.
I probably won't be purchasing more only because I love my UV polish set and would prefer to invest in more gel polishes.

3. NYX Butter Gloss in shade Raspberry Tart RRP $5 USD Full Size 8ml
I think this is possibly my new favourite product. I love the colour, a purple with a slight pink undertone and it is so soft. It is not sticky at all and is sheer to medium coverage. Now the smell... it is a mix of all the sweeter things in life ice-cream, cookies, cupcakes, candy, strawberry milk etc. I absolutely love it.
I am already looking where to purchase the whole range as I think I really need them and ladies if you have the opportunity I would 100% recommend everybody try it at least once.

4. Be a Bombshell Eye Crayon in shade Fetish RRP $14USD Full Size 2.5g
I was introduced to Be a Bombshell through Violet Box and I loved their liquid eyeliner and now I have 2 new products to try. The eye crayon is so highly pigmented and smooth on the skin. It blends easily and is such a fun, playful purple shade. I am excited to try it properly when I get a chance to really mix it and create a new look. I will show you how it turns out when I blend it out more on my eyes.

5. Be a Bombshell Eye Shadow in shade Tease RRP $ 14USD Full Size 1.5g
This is the second product this month from this brand and another impressive inclusion.  It is a lovely light green with a silver shimmer. It is not as highly pigmented as some of the other brands I have but I can already see myself using it as it is a very light colour. It suits the Spring theme perfectly.  I would consider purchasing another colour if I were able to purchase from their website but at this stage they do not ship to Australia.

6. Jessie's Girl Kohl Eyeliner in shade Black RRP $1.99USD Full Size 1.8g
I loved last month's lip liner from Jessie's Girl and this eyeliner is another great product. It is such a nice eyeliner and so cheap. It is very smooth when I swatched it and I love the sharpener in the lip. They have a huge selection on their website and they ship to Australia.  I will be ordering from them soon.

As always another amazing month with Lip Factory! I can't wait to see how they plan to top it next month.

Over all value is over $55USD which is great value and considering that I will use every product this is again my favourite subscription box.
